Everyone was rooting for Jonathan Byers to become Nancy Wheeler's boyfriend in Stranger Things, because let's face it, Steve Harrington just wasn't cool at all. But times have changed, and in Stranger Things 2, Steve worked his way into our hearts by becoming a half-dad, half-enabler to Mike, Lucas, Max, and Dustin. He's "Dad Steve" and he's here to stay...for now.
Executive producer, Shawn Levy, told the Hollywood Reporter: "we'll definitely get to see some more of Steve Harrington in season three. And I'll just say we won't be abandoning the Dad Steve magic. I don't want to say much more, but I literally feel that we were walking along and we stumbled onto a gold mine with Dad Steve."
Not only did Steve drive Dustin to the winter dance, and give him some pointers on how to handle girls, he gave him some kick ass hair advice to boot. The third season will begin filming this spring and will be set a year later from last season, which gives Steve plenty of time to cultivate his paternal side. Bring on the Demogorgon!
